I’ve started working on my next album — and this one will be something special. It will be my first full-length album. But there’s still a long way to go. Some of the songs haven’t even been written yet. This time, the album will have two sides. One side will feature songs with vocals. The other will be instrumental, with the guitar taking the role of the voice. I also want to bring some great songs back to life from a particularly prolific period around 1994 — songs and ideas that have stayed with me for many years and now deserve a new chance. That combination of old and new feels very natural to me. I want to create something that looks forward while also bringing some of my musical past into the present. I’m planning to record and produce the album myself. That will make it a very hands-on project, from songwriting and arranging to recording, guitar tones, mixing and production.
